Curriculum

Writing time provides opportunities to improve handwriting, develop grade appropriate writing skills, & work on the writing process (plan, draft, revise, edit, & publish). Focuses include using correct sentence structure (capital letter, spacing, & punctuation), forming a complete thought, spelling sight words correctly, writing neatly on handwriting lines, & using sounds to help spell unfamiliar words. Students will be exposed to narrative, expository, & opinion writing in a variety of experiences.
